The concept of UGHE took root during the 2013 Oral Health Stakeholders meeting in Kigali, where the Cummings Foundation proposed the idea of a new university that would serve Rwanda, Africa, and beyond. This vision aligned with Dr. Paul Farmer's long-held dream of integrating education into PIH’s mission of global health equity. In response to Bill Cummings, Dr. Farmer remarked, “What a great vision, and one that squares with the Rwandan vision of pulling people up by building a ‘knowledge’ economy while delivering care.

Contract Obligations

We expect all suppliers to conduct themselves with the highest level of professionalism and integrity. Any form of unethical behavior, including fraud or corruption, will result in immediate disqualification.
